What No One Tells You After Graduating from College

I graduated in September with my Bachelor’s Degree and still have yet to find a position in the industry that I want to work in. Although I am currently employed, it’s just a position that’s extremely entry level and only requires you to have a High School Diploma if that.

 No one tells you that in order to find a job that will turn into your career you need multiple internships. No one tells you that even though these internships don’t pay, you need to meet certain requirements. I was denied an interview for a non paying internship because I don’t have enough experience. Isn’t the point of an internship to learn the ins and outs of the industry you want to work in? Usually that means the intern has no experience outside of class.

Also no one tells you that your degree alone is practically useless- what you studied in class honestly gets you no where. Joke’s on us haha! The simplest jobs require Bachelors or a Masters, like for an example: Administrative Assistant. I found an Admin Assistant that required an MBA.

Is this because no one is willing to train their employees anymore or because they want overly qualified employees in which they’ll pay at a very low rate because they need the job?

Another thing no one tells you while you’re trying to find a career you wont hate is the depression and anxiety that you might face. Being turned down or not even getting a response after an interview can bring on both anxiety and depression.



Bluetooth Headphones


Hey guys!!!! So if you’re like me and you hate having headphones with long wires, then bluetooth headphones are for you! For whatever reason, my regular head phones always seem to tangle up and make its way into a knot. The knot is either super hard to get out or it damages the wires inside.

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a pair of bluetooth (almost wireless) headphones at a discounted rate to share and review.

The headphones are nice, though they are a bit bulky for ear pieces. The wire that goes in the back is a little long- I would change that or allow it to adjust different lengths.


So far it’s been great when I use the option to connect it to my phone for a phone call but I feel like I need to yell or speak louder for the other person to hear me.

Overall I feel that these are a good product, but we shall see if they last longer than a month (fingers crossed).

Dual Corded USB Chargers

Happy Thursday!!! I am so happy that I have one more day of work and then the weekend. Today I am going to talk about Dual Corded charges that I got at a discounted price in order to review.
The concept of these chargers is great but not so great for your car!! These chargers are powerful but they blew my fuse twice so I would only recommend using them with a wall charger. You also need to be careful with the plugs you use, because it blew one of mine as well.

I really like the idea as you can charge your iPhone and a device with a universal USB plug.

BBQ Season is Here!

Summer is almost here, or we thought but I couldn’t tell with this crazy New York weather. One week it’s scolding hot and in the 90’s and the next it’s in the 60’s and raining almost everyday

Memorial Day weekend is near and that calls for BBQs!!! I know that I enjoy BBQing, gathering around and hanging out with family and friends. Also the food cooked on a BBQ tastes better than being cooked on the stove top or in an oven.

Lucky for me I was given an opportunity to try out the As Seen on Tv’s La-Chef Grill Mats. These are mats that can be used over a gas. charcoal, or electric grill. You can even use them on a baking pan in the oven.

So far I’ve only used the baking sheet as I don’t have the grill set up yet but I have a feeling it will be a breeze to use everything and clean up will be so easy.

After a Long Hiatus…..Back to Business

It’s been quite some time that I’ve written and I am back after a long hiatus. I’ve taken some time off to reflect on myself and grow as an individual. I’ve also had a lot going on in my life personally.

I graduated in September with my Bachelor’s- happy to say the least that I am finished FINALLY! It only took me long enough. Now I’m on the hunt for an Internship or something that will turn into a Career.

I will be back to blogging about diet/fitness, products I’ve tired out and likes/disliked and just babbling about life.

I’m happy to be back!

It’s been too long…

It’s been too long since I have written to you. I have not made time for myself to sit down and just write what comes to my mind. Life has been crazy and is always crazy. Whether it’s drama or just plain nonsense, it’s crazy.

I’ve had a lot happen to me within the past year-year and half and I am going to be sharing a part of me that I have not shared. Also my blog is going to be geared more towards life and events and creative writing. I will be doing reviews, but the main focus will not be on them.

I have also been thinking of starting my own YouTube channel, I’m not sure how many people would actually watch me, but we will see.

I’m off to the gym now, in this cold weather.



Back to Smoothies!

Smoothies have been my go to meal because they are super easy to make and you can get creative with them. I used to use Milk, Almond Milk and Coconut milk but I now make my smoothies with just Coconut Water as there are many benefits to drinking it. Coconut water is great for hydrating your body especially after the gym or a hot day, it’s also great for the day after a night of drinking.

Some people use fresh fruit, but I like using frozen fruit as they are frozen at their peak. So you are getting the same nutritional benefits if you were to use fresh fruit, plus frozen fruit stays good for up to 6 months while fresh fruit you only have a couple of days to use before they spoil.

I also like to throw in some Kale or Spinach for some extra green, and honestly I can’t really tell they are in my smoothies when I add them. Another great add in is low fat or non fat yogurt to add some extra creaminess and honey as a natural sweetener. You can also add in a scoop of your favorite protein powder as well!

Last night for dinner I made a smoothie that tasted like Blueberry Pie! It was delicious. I used 8 oz of Coconut water, frozen fruit; Dole Mixed berries (about 1 cup) and a cup of blueberries that I had previously froze. I also added in a tablespoon of Low Fat Dannon Vanilla Yogurt and about a teaspoon of Honey and a shake or two of cinnamon. I blended until smooth and it tasted great.IMG_3248

If you’re watching your weight or on a diet or trying to eat healthier, I would recommend smoothies. They taste great and keep you full and will keep you on track with your goals!

Long….. Long…. Summer

I have not been active at all on this blog or any of my social media sites solely for the fact that I’ve been through so much this year and have not had any time to myself.
The summer is basically over and I did not get to enjoy it as I really wanted to due to my new job(2 months in) and just finishing up school. I am happy to say that I am officially graduated with my Bachelors degree (even though I walked in Commencement in May). It’s official and I’m done which means one less thing to stress over!

I’ve also been going to the gym at least 3 times a week and seeing my personal trainer once a week. I started this at the end of June and it’s been two months and I’m proud to say that I’m down 1% of body fat. It’s not a huge percentage but it’s something and even though I’m not loosing the weight I want. I am gaining muscle and toning my body.

Yesterday I also made an effort to meal prep to get back on track, because with the hours I work I’m tired and don’t eat as well as I should or pay attention to my carb take in.
